they are right - I am wrong - again = but try some belt dressing first before you tear into that engine - the tension issue is is very important

Harley makes a belt dressing ( but I did use WD40 - sparingly and my squeak disappeared and there was no issue for 400 kms)

Check that tension - I am still betting the chirping is coming from the belt not the engine

keep the rubber side down
